Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership style in improving employee performance through a literature study approach. This is because transformational leadership style is considered effective in motivating and empowering employees, which are important elements in facing the dynamics of organizational change in the modern era. This study uses a literature study method approach by analyzing academic literature, journal articles, and books related to transformational leadership and employee performance. Data were analyzed qualitatively to identify key elements, impacts, and mechanisms of transformational leadership style on individual and organizational performance. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership style contributes significantly to improving employee performance through inspiration, intellectual stimulation, individual attention, and charismatic influence. Transformational leaders are able to create an innovative and collaborative work environment, thereby increasing employee productivity and commitment. This study also found that the effectiveness of this style is also influenced by organizational culture and individual employee characteristics.
