Optimalisasi Pemberantasan Korupsi Berbasis Hukum Pidana

Abstract

Corruption remains one of the most critical challenges in Indonesia, undermining governance, economic development, and social justice. The implementation of criminal law as a means to eradicate corruption has been at the forefront of Indonesia’s legal agenda. This study aims to explore the optimization of corruption eradication through criminal law, analyzing existing legal frameworks, enforcement mechanisms, and the role of law enforcement agencies such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Police, and the Attorney General's Office. It examines the factors contributing to the persistence of corruption, including weaknesses in law enforcement, political interference, and societal attitudes towards corruption. The study further identifies the successes and challenges of legal reforms and the enforcement of anti-corruption measures, highlighting the importance of an integrated approach involving government institutions, civil society, and the private sector. The findings suggest that strengthening legal frameworks, enhancing transparency, and increasing public awareness and participation are crucial for more effective corruption eradication. This paper concludes by offering recommendations to optimize Indonesia's criminal law in the fight against corruption, ensuring a cleaner and more transparent government.
